BMW R80 RT police version

The BMW R80 RT Police Edition is a specially adapted version of the classic BMW R80 RT. This model was used by various police departments in the 1980s and 1990s, particularly in Germany and Europe.

Features of the police version:

• Engine: 797 cm³ air-cooled two-cylinder boxer engine with approx. 50 hp
• Chassis: Robust double-loop frame for high stability
• Fairing: Large RT touring fairing for better weather protection
• Police-specific equipment:
  • Special radio and special signaling system (blue lights, siren)
  • Additional cases or top case for police equipment
  • Official paint scheme (e.g. white/green or later silver/blue)
  • Reinforced alternator to supply additional electrical devices
