The Ducati Hailwood, officially known as the Ducati 900 MHR (Mike Hailwood Replica), was produced in 1979 as a tribute to legendary racer Mike Hailwood. Hailwood made a sensational comeback in 1978 after an 11-year racing hiatus, winning the Isle of Man TT on a Ducati 900 SS. To commemorate this achievement, Ducati launched the limited-edition MHR series.
The Ducati 900 MHR was equipped with an 863 cc air-cooled V2 engine (90° L-twin), producing approximately 72 hp and propelling the motorcycle to a top speed of over 200 km/h. Visually, the Hailwood Replica stood out with its striking red paintwork and green and white accents, reminiscent of Hailwood's racing machine. The MHR was not only a sporty motorcycle, but also a tribute to one of motorsport's greatest icons and is highly sought after by collectors.
