Horch was a German automobile brand founded in 1904 by August Horch in Zwickau. Known for its luxurious and technically advanced vehicles, Horch was one of the leading manufacturers in the premium segment in the 1920s and 1930s. The cars were characterized by powerful eight- and twelve-cylinder engines, fine craftsmanship, and innovative technology. In 1932, Horch merged with Audi, DKW, and Wanderer to form Auto Union —the forerunner of Audi. The four rings in today's Audi logo symbolize these four brands. To this day, Horch is synonymous with German engineering, elegance, and pre-war automotive luxury.
