The Kawasaki 900 Z1, also known as the "Z1" or "Super Four," was introduced in 1972 and is considered one of the most groundbreaking motorcycles of the 1970s. With its 903 cc inline four-cylinder engine producing approximately 82 hp, it reached a top speed of around 210 km/h (130 mph). The Z1 set new standards in performance and handling and was one of the first "superbikes." Its design, with its distinctive fuel tank and quad exhausts, as well as its reliable engineering, made it an instant hit with riders and critics. The Kawasaki 900 Z1 was not only a powerful motorcycle, but also known for its durability and robustness. It laid the foundation for Kawasaki's later success in the superbike class and is now a cult classic and sought-after collector's item.
