The MG T-Type series, produced between 1936 and 1955, is one of the most iconic British roadsters of the pre-war and post-war eras. The series began with the MG TA and evolved through the TB , TC , and TD models, culminating in the final model, the TF . Typical of all T-Types was the classic roadster look with freestanding wings, wire-spoke wheels, a long bonnet, and an open two-seater layout. They were powered by compact four-cylinder engines combined with a sporty chassis—perfect for the British B-road experience.
The MG TC , which appeared in 1945, was particularly instrumental in the sports car boom in the USA. Many returning US soldiers brought it with them, thus establishing the popularity of British sports cars overseas. Today, the MG T-Type stands as a symbol of pure driving pleasure and British sports car culture.
