The OSCA MT4 TN is a compact racing car developed in the early 1950s by the Italian manufacturer OSCA ( Officine Specializzate Costruzione Automobili ). Founded by the Maserati brothers after they left the Maserati factory, OSCA specialized in lightweight, technically sophisticated sports cars. The MT4 (Maserati Tipo 4 cilindri) was particularly successful in international motorsport, particularly in endurance racing and in the 1.1 to 1.5 liter class. The TN ( Tipo Nuovo ) variant marked a further development with an improved chassis, modified tubular frame and uprated four-cylinder engine. The OSCA MT4 TN was valued for its agility, reliability and technical refinement and contributed significantly to the reputation of the OSCA brand.
